- The domain is not currently eligible to transfer
- Registrant confirmation has not been completed
- The current registrar applies a waiting period under applicable rules
What should you do before starting?
Confirm that the domain is eligible, unlock it where required, obtain the correct transfer authorization code and make sure you can access the registrant email address if approval is needed.
Will my website go offline during a transfer?
A registrar transfer does not automatically mean the website must go offline. DNS settings are separate from the registrar relationship, but you should review them carefully before moving anything.
